free education
Dror Klar asked:

If you are one of the many people who have a natural thirst for knowledge, but can not attend school or classes for what ever reason, then you need to be taking advantage of the nearly unlimited source of knowledge that you have right at your fingertips on your computer. The internet is the most amazing tool ever invented, after the book, for learning almost anything you want for free.

Of course, you can not get accredited for learning things just by surfing the internet, but if acquiring basic and even in depth knowledge about subjects that interest you is all that is important, what are you waiting for? There is free information available on the internet on just about any topic you can possibly imagine.

If you want to learn about anything particular, all you need to do is type in what subject you are searching for information on. When your results come up start at the top and work your way down the list. Some sites might provide information you can use and some may not. There are usually links on every web site that you can click on that will take you directly to other sites that are usually relative to the same subject. There is really no easier way to research what you want to learn about.

In earlier years, the best way to learn without actually attending school some where was to browse those old fashioned home encyclopedias. They were great in their day and can still be useful. Keeping current editions of encyclopedias can be expensive. In the fast paced way the world is changing, an encyclopedia that was printed last year will fail to have the most current information available on many subjects.

Going to your local library is still a great way to have access to many books for free, both old and new. You do have to make that trip to where ever it is. You can sit there for how ever long you like and study and still check out books to bring home. The old library rules do still apply though. If you are late returning your books, you may get charged a fee and if you lose a book, you will defiantly have to pay for it. Of course, that is only fair.

In all fairness to libraries, many of them are trying to keep up with the times. Some of them have computers with free internet access. This can make going to the library still a very worth while endeavor. Having access to the thousands of books they offer as references combined with the tremendous research abilities the internet provides, you can acquire all the free education you want.
