2. Check out books.
3. Read and discuss those books.
…but homeschool is not about just sitting home all day
If you have internet access you can bring a million sites up on all subjects that offer free downloads. If you don’t have a computer you can go to the library. They also have books from homeschool programs you can check out.
* Online video and audio lectures!
Seriously, I’m getting all of my science lectures from “Physics for future Presidents”, a lecture from UC Berkeley.
* Library is also a great resource for me.
* Ebooks!
* Online specifically-educational games.
* Worksheets to download or copy down on paper.. magazines, TV.. the things you can learn from is endless.
Thank spaggetti monster for the internet, I swear!
I am getting a free education. I am 55 years old and home-school a 15 year old son. I love learning. He tolerates it.
We are both learning but I am learning more and learning faster than he is because I want to learn.
Our homeschool style is relaxed-eclectic. I let him have a choice in most of the things he learns other than language arts and math. If he makes no choice, then I choose.
We use library, used public school textbooks, used homeschool books from yard sales, television and internet.
