Education is free in this country up through 12th grade.
Everyone shouldn’t go to college. There has to be some people to do service jobs. Of course a lot of college grads can’t do anything but service jobs anyway.

No, I don’t believe it would be, because that would mean the citizen would be indebted to the government in a sense – kind of socialistic in my opinion. God bless!!!

Sorry… but there’s a HUGE difference between what you term “FREE” education and a PUBLIC education. As the old adage goes, there’s NO such thing as a FREE lunch.
Our PUBLIC educational system is certainly NOT FREE!!!! WE PAY FOR IT through our TAXES.
As for a “basic” PUBLIC education, it is a good idea for many sound reasons, the least of which is the continuation of our culture and society. But that does not mean that other alternatives can be available.
So, to answer YOUR question about a FREE education, it will be NO… it is NOT a good idea, because it is, indeed NOT FREE. A PUBLIC education is a good idea, yes.
Have a right-wing day.

Sure it is. Just tell me who pays for this “free”. Then tell me if the government is going to control it? If so, then I say No, thank you.

I will have to say no on this one. It has been my experience that parents already don’t pay enough attention to their child’s education (making sure they do their homework, communicate with teachers, etc.) so if it is free, why would they worry. Don’t get me wrong, this idea has both benefits and drawbacks. I just feel that if you work hard for something you will appreciate it more in the long run.

Nothing is free…anytime a politician says free healthcare, free education, etc…it means…taxpayer funded, period. We pay one way or the other. Either we pay for ourselves, through loans, or by saving responsibly, or we do the government “thing” and pay for everyone who is not willing to take out a loan or sacrifice to save their own money for what they want.
I have no problem with economic assistance, but so long as it is voluntary, as it is with the churches, or some other charitable institutions and relief organizations…where they ask us to donate when they need it, but not from the government stealing my money and using it where “they” see fit…like abortion clinics…
Charity and compassionate giving can only exist so long as it is freely given.
Government mandate is taking away our liberty to use our hard earned money in ways that “we” choose.
