I am a computer engineer in Pakistan , just started a job after getting my degree (which is not very impressive in terms of grades, but I know my technical stuff well enough) I want to further my education , but don’t have money to go to Canada or US. Which Nordic state is my best option for free education , I also want to immigrate to a Western (or Southern ) country in a few years time (Canada , Australia are on top of my list) , so that is also a concern when getting higher education ( i.e. getting MS in France may be good for knowledge , but is only good enough to get me a job in Quebec , Canada )

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackMy tip is Sweden. It is the most cosmopolitan of the Nordic countries, and seems quite open to foreign students, also in terms of opportunity of studies. The University of Lund is Scandinavia’s largest university, with a fairly international range of students. You will still need to learn Swedish, unless you come in on Master’s level, which is usually held in English – in that case, also consider Chalmers University in Gothenburg – but Swedish also happens to be the most manageable of the Nordic languages in terms of pronunciation and grammar. So, I’d say, Sweden is for you.
